Charity Gala

Please be aware that we are holding our annual invitation gala at Everton Park on the 24th June 08.

All proceeds from this gala will be donated to the Macmillan Cancer Appeal and Claire House Children’s Hospice. To the best of my knowledge we are the only club in Merseyside who host a charity gala.

Liverpool Penguins Swimming Club are in the process of re- introducing the ASA award scheme for Beginner and Improver Groups. Please read the attached letter for further information:

Swim NorthWest - Open Water Swimming Development

The North West Region is introducing some exciting new opportunities in Open Water Swimming. Due to the sports inclusion in the 2012 Olympics we feel the time is right to provide taster and development opportunities to the Swimmers from North West Region Clubs. A new National Development Plan for Open Water Swimming will be launched in Sept 08 by Sport England and the NW Region will be providing the actual open water experience to attract and prepare interested swimmers prior to the September initiative.
