LIVERPOOL PENGUINS SWIMMING CLUB

Welcome to Liverpool Penguins

Liverpool Penguin Swimming Club was originally formed as Speke Swimming Club in 1960 and had its base at Speke Swimming baths teaching children to swim. After a number of years the club was renamed Liverpool Penguin Swimming Club and changed from just teaching children to swim to become a competitive swimming club as well.

The club grew from strength to strength to such an extent that the club won the National Junior League, something that no other club on Merseyside has ever done. In 1999 Speke Swimming baths closed down and Liverpool Penguins moved to Everton Park Sports Centre. (until February 2007)   In March 2007 we relocated to our new home at Liverpool University .
